Marloes van den Eeckhout can be described as a driven and tenacious lawyer with a practical approach.

Marloes advises and assists (international) employers in the context of all aspects of employment law and in particular on:

  • (individual and collective) dismissal;
  • the legal position of (statutory) directors;
  • employee co-determination;
  • corporate labor law, such as reorganizations and due diligence investigations in mergers and acquisitions;
  • transgressive behavior in the workplace (including sexual harassment and discrimination);
  • various employment law issues in the semi-public sector, such as education and healthcare (including issues relating to the Top Income Support Act);
  • Marloes also litigates regularly, including dismissal and breach of relationship and competition clauses.

Marloes joined Palthe Oberman (again) in 2024. She studied at the University of Amsterdam. She also gained international experience during an Erasmus exchange program in the United Kingdom. Marloes has obtained the postgraduate specialist course Grotius Employment Law.

Marloes regularly publishes and lectures on various employment law topics. Marloes is a member of the Dutch Employment Lawyers Association (VAAN).

Marloes has registered the following legal practice area in the Dutch Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

  • Employment law.

Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in this registered legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Dutch Bar.
